Corey Maclin, a lifelong resident of Shelby County, born and raised in Millington, TN. Maclin has been involved in the Memphis community since he was fourteen. He began his announcing career by calling minor league baseball games as well as high school football, basketball, and baseball in his hometown. A graduate of Millington Central High School it was there his public speaking, announcing skills and community involvement was born and took shape.
While attending high school he was the youngest employee of the U.S. Postal Service, holding a part time position; this position served as the catalyst to help pace Maclin’s work ethic. At age sixteen Maclin became employed as a director of the Memphis Park Commission, the youngest director at the time. At sixteen, he became the youngest on-air personality to work in radio being hired by KFTH 107.1 FM.
At eighteen, Maclin was named program / news director in Memphis hired by WLOK radio. Later, he worked for two seasons with the Memphis Rockers basketball team of the WBL and was hired for two seasons with the Memphis Hounddawgs of the ABA. For more than 20 years he has been the well known voice and host of Memphis Wrestling, the longest running, highest rated wrestling show in wrestling history. It aired in hundreds of markets across the US, Europe, Italy and Canada.
Maclin has been married to Carmela, an RN for Baptist Hospital, for twenty years. They live in Lakeland, Tennessee where they are raising their six children.
