Joy Lambert joined the abc24 News team in June 2010.

This California girl is excited to call Memphis home.

Joy was introduced to the sweet tea and fireflies of the south in the spring of 2008, when she joined WAKA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama as a Reporter/Weekend Anchor.

While in Montgomery, Joy produced several high profile interviews.

She also made a huge impact on Central Alabama with a series of in-depth, and personal, reports on breast cancer awareness.

Prior to Montgomery, Joy worked for two years in Casper, Wyoming as an Anchor/Reporter for KCWY-TV.

She has also worked behind the scenes at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, CA.

Joy received a bachelor’s degree in communication from California State University, Fullerton.

Joy grew up in Solvang, California, a small Danish town just north of Santa Barbara.

Joy is an avid baseball fan; she is loyal to the Los Angeles Angels and her Fullerton Titans. On her days off, you will likely catch her cheering loudly at Redbirds games.

She is also excited about all the live music Memphis has to offer and exploring the Mid-South.
