Scattered showers and storms will continue to push through the southern half of the Mid-South this evening and overnight. Some storms will be strong and could reach severe limits. The weather feature causing this flare up in activity is very slowly working its way southward into the area. Overnight, showers will press south into northern Mississippi, but a few showers could hang around into the morning tomorrow. The unofficial end to summer starts tomorrow as most kids will be returning to school. Temperatures will be much more tolerable, thanks to clouds and a northeasterly breeze in the wake of the rain. Humidity, unfortunately, won't be completely pushed out of the area. Students waiting for the bus tomorrow morning may encounter a shower, especially along and south of I-40, but most rain will be winding down.

Low and mid 90's line the forecast this week. Summer is certainly not over in the weather department. Isolated showers are possible Wednesday through the weekend each afternoon with daytime heating.

Have a great week everyone!
