MEMPHIS, TN--What a dreary way to start a work week! Low and mid-level clouds continue to spin overhead bringing the Mid-South scattered shower activity. Temperatures have severely struggled under the cloud cover today with highs in many locations only climbing into the mid 60's! Temperatures will be cool tonight with lows in the mid 50's. Overcast skies and scattered rain showers will be off and on through the overnight hours. Tuesday will only be slightly better. Clouds will hang tough across the region. Scattered light shower activity is expected, especially during the first half of the day. The drying out process will begin in the afternoon, but full sunshine won't return until late morning on Wednesday.
Temperatures will again be cool tomorrow. However, a nice warm-up will follow for mid-week. Highs on Thursday will climb into the lower 80's out ahead of our next rain-maker. The next weather system will bring showers and a few storms to the area Friday night into Saturday. Much cooler air will arrive following the shower activity. Highs on Sunday will only climb into the lower 60's with lows in the 40's! I think chili is on the menu for next weekend!
Have a great Monday evening everyone!
