MEMPHIS--It's been a slow road, but temperatures are finally returning to seasonable levels after a cold spell earlier in the week. Warming will continue through the weekend as will our dry weather. Memphis is currently running almost 13 inches below normal for the year and the window for catching up before the year ends is closing quickly. Our next rain maker will be a weak weather system that arrives Monday night. The chance of rain will last into early Tuesday. Rain amounts will be a tenth of an inch or less in most areas. The atmosphere will not destabilize enough for severe weather. Wednesday, drier air returns to the region and temperatures remain slightly warmer than normal. Thanksgiving day will provide excellent Mid-South weather with temperatures reaching the upper 60s to low 70s during the afternoon. Dry and warm weather is also expected for black Friday which will make it easier for those who decide to camp out at stores to get the best deal.
