MEMPHIS WEATHER-Rain begins to enter the Mid South late tonight with a few scattered showers, but the bulk of the rain should begin tomorrow morning and continue throughout the day. Look for locally heavy rain with periods of thunder and lightning. Winds pick up in the afternoon gusting up to 25 miles per hour. The rain should begin to taper off by tomorrow evening. Clouds pulling out overnight so your week will begin on a sunny note. Enjoy the brief break before the next system rolls into town on Tuesday. By Tuesday evening we could see a mix of rain and snow, reminding us that it is still the winter season. We dry out and for the remainder of week and temperatures moderate. A drop in temperatures returns next weekend.
