MEMPHIS, TN-- Spotty showers in the Mid-South will come to end late this evening. Isolated showers will again be possible on Monday, but mainly along and north of I-40 during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be hot and steamy again with highs Monday and Tuesday in the lower and middle 90's. Daily afternoon rain chances are possible each day of the work week ahead.

Tropical Storm Isaac continues to making promising changes to its path. One computer model hinted yesterday at a much farther westward track while the majority of models continued to stand firm on an Alabama coastline landfall. Now, that has changed. Tropical Storms are very fickle and again, a lot can still change during the next 24 hours. However, the latest consensus for Tropical Storm Isaac shows landfall occurring between Lake Charles, LA and Gulfport, MS early Wednesday. If that verifies, remnant moisture from Isaac could provide the Mid-South with quite a substantial amount of rain (especially across Arkansas) by Friday. Drought-stricken areas are keeping fingers crossed for that outcome. Regardless of the exact location of landfall, all areas along the Gulf Coast will be impacted and I fully expect the Mid-South to also feel the effects of Isaac by Friday.

Have a great week! Dig out the umbrellas later in the week.
