MEMPHIS, TN--Light rain west of the Mississippi River is having a major impact on afternoon highs today. The warmest spots around the Mid-South can be found in northeastern Mississippi. On Sunday, more rain will develop after noon across the rest of the Mid-South with rain chances increasing into Sunday evening. Overnight Sunday into Monday will be the time frame for heaviest rainfall across the majority of the Mid-South. Temperatures will again be impacted and will vary greatly on Sunday. Areas that see rain will only see highs in the upper 70's whereas places in northeast Mississippi should be slightly warmer.
The rain will taper off late Monday and beautiful, sunny skies will be back in town by Tuesday. Temperatures will take a sharp dive behind the rain with highs on Tuesday only climbing into the lower and middle 70's with lows in the lower 50's. Fall-like weather will continue into the weekend with another round of rain arriving Friday evening.
Have a great rest of the weekend!
