MEMPHIS, TN--A light, steady rain is falling across the Mid-South with pockets of moderate rain mixed in. This rain-maker pushing through the area will keep rain in the Mid-South through early Tuesday morning. Winds will turn more northwesterly early Tuesday morning and that will usher in drier and much cooler air into the region. Highs on Tuesday will barely climb into the lower 70's. It may be time to break out the sweaters! Overnight lows will drop to around 50 degrees in the metro area Tuesday night with temperatures in the 40's in surrounding locations.

Sunny skies and perfect temperatures in the mid 70's are on the menu for mid-week. Friday will be our warmest day as temperatures soar into the 80's out ahead of our late week weather-maker. Dry air in place won't allow for much rain with this second weather system but an isolated shower will be possible next Saturday and Sunday. Another cool down will follow.

Have a great Monday!
