MEMPHIS, TN--Get ready to break out the t-shirts! Temperatures today will soar into the lower 70's under a strong southerly flow. Moisture continues to spread northward into the Mid-South. A few scattered showers are possible this morning, but the remainder of the day should be mostly cloudy.

Even warmer temperatures arrives on Tuesday in advance of our next big weather-maker. Highs tomorrow will climb into the mid 70's. Meanwhile, a potent weather system and trailing cold front will get closer to the Mid-South. Late afternoon shower and storms will be likely. Any storms that arrive earlier in the evening will have the best potential of becoming strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined the Mid-South in a Slight Risk for severe weather tomorrow night. The brunt of the rain and storms will arrive overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. Much colder weather will fill in behind the rain and highs on Wednesday will be reached early in the morning and will turn colder in the afternoon.

Drier and colder weather will arrive for the last part of the work week and will last through the weekend. Have a wonderful Monday!
