MEMPHIS, TN--Warm weather was welcome in the Mid-South this week to give us a break from winter-like conditions, but cold weather returns tomorrow. A strong weather-maker continues to spin to the west of the Mid-South and is responsible for the gloomy and rainy weather. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the entire Mid-South through Sunday morning as more heavy rain is expected overnight and tomorrow. A severe threat for storms exists across the Mid-South for this afternoon and evening. Parts of the area, from Memphis to the MS Delta and west of the river, are in a Slight Risk for severe weather. Storms this afternoon will be able to tap into the moist, warm air in place to intensify this evening. The threat will diminish after midnight.

The high temperature on Sunday will be met at midnight and will continue to fall during the day tomorrow. Winds will switch from the south to the northwest after sunrise and the fall with commence. Temperatures will be in the 40's for Sunday morning and will have fallen into the 30's by tomorrow afternoon. A small opportunity for a rain/snow mix will be possible late Sunday/early Monday morning as temperatures will be at or below freezing.

Sunshine returns Tuesday and the rest of the week will be pretty uneventful with temperatures in the 50's. Stay safe this evening and tomorrow and be safe driving on wet roads.
