MEMPHIS, TN--It has been the most refreshing day in the Mid-South. Temperatures have remained quite a bit below normal with highs in the lower and mid 70's. Clouds will increase across the area after midnight, but temperatures should still have the potential to drop into the lower 50's and upper 40's by sunrise. A light sweater or jacket will be needed Monday morning, but a milder afternoon is on the way. Winds will make the shift from north to southeast by Monday afternoon. This will help increase moisture in the form of clouds into the area tomorrow. A few stray showers can't be ruled out. Temperatures will climb to near 80 degrees.
The big warm-up arrive on Tuesday. It will feel like summer again as southwest winds pull hot weather from the south into the area. Highs Tuesday through Friday will climb into the mid and upper 80's. A few spots near 90 degrees is certainly a possibility. So, again, stay cool if you plan to be outdoors those afternoons. A slight chance for showers exists for the second half of the work week. Temperatures return to more seasonable highs by next weekend.
Have a great work week!
