MEMPHIS WEATHER--A few light showers will be possible in northern Mississippi this morning, but most areas along and north of I-40 will be dry. A mostly cloudy day is on the menu for today, but temperatures will still be very warm. A nice southerly wind will help push temperatures this afternoon into the upper 60's. A second shot of rain will arrive late this evening from the northwest. A better chance of rain will arrive late tonight and should be out of the Mid-South for your Friday morning commute. Temperatures will be a touch cooler on Friday with highs in the mid 50's.

The first half of the weekend looks great, but Sunday will bring another round of rain. Rain could be heavy at times (especially across the southern tier of the Mid-South) on Sunday. Rain chances will last into next week. Cooler temperatures will arrive by next Wednesday.
