A major January thaw is on the table by mid-week!  It will be accompanied by heavy rain Wednesday and Thursday plus three days with highs nearing 70.  Today will be sunny and seasonal, highs near 50.  Clouds increase Tuesday with a few light rain showers breaking out before midnight, nearing the balmy territory, high 60.

A major storms system pushing into southern California this morning will pass through northern Mexico tonight through Wednesday morning before lifting north into east Texas on a run to the lower Great Lakes by Friday.  Rain, heavy at times is likely Wednesday into Thursday with a few thunderstorms on Thursday.  Rainfall amounts during the two days will range from two to three inches with locally higher amounts.

As that storm moves north we get a break in the action Friday while another one is waiting in the wings.  It arrives Saturday with more heavy rain and thunderstorms lasting into Sunday.  Winter will likely come back with vengeance next week.  Yes, a very active seven days is ahead.
