Memphis Weather--Temperatures in the 70s in January is a nice break from winter, but it can become costly. Thunderstorms will develop ahead of a strong cold front and low pressure system Tuesday evening and night. Winds with this system will be strong enough to produce damaging wind gusts in thunderstorms. Even outside of t-storms, breezy conditions will last through the daylight hours Wednesday. Highs in the mid 70s Tuesday will be replaced with 50s Wednesday. A second shot of colder air will arrive Thursday night dropping temperatures further. Friday, highs will only be in the upper 30s. A fast moving weather system will bring a chance of rain Saturday, but will clear out in time for a beautiful dry day Sunday just in time for the big game.
