Kevin Malone, principal of Bellevue Middle School, has been announced as a finalist for Tennessee Principal of the Year by the Tennessee Department of Education. Malone is one of nine principals chosen as finalists from more than 1,700 schools across the state.
“Principals work to create better environments for teaching and learning in our schools,” said Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman. “This year’s nominees share the department’s commitment to raising standards for students and have lived out that goal with their innovative programs and strong visions.”
Malone has served as principal of Bellevue Middle School since 2003. He and his administration strive to create an environment that promotes high expectations and excellence from all students.
