GPAC’s Ballet Program will once again offer young ballerinas the opportunity to tendu, tip-toe and twirl into the spotlight with the newly-announced fall 2012 class schedule.
Beginning August 21, GPAC classes will gently introduce children to the dynamics of music and dance through movement, rhythmic exercises and games. Students will learn to dance both as individuals and as a member of a group, as they learn ballet positions appropriate for this age. Lesson plans include activities to develop rhythm, coordination, flexibility, creativity, expression, imagination, self-awareness and self-confidence. At the end of the semester students will participate in an informal presentation.
The fall semester runs August 21 through December 12. Class sizes are limited and tend to fill quickly, so parents are encouraged to register early. Registrations are now being accepted.
