Memphis Animal Services has extended the deadline for entries in its logo contest to September 15, 2012.
“We extended the deadline to allow a window of opportunity for high school students to participate,” said James Rogers, Administrator of Memphis Animal Services. “We are looking forward to the creativity that our youth can bring to this contest, and hope to gain more entries once the school year begins.”
Memphis Animal Services (MAS) exists to protect citizens from the dangers and nuisances of uncontrolled animals and keeping animals safe from mistreatment and abuse.
The logo contest was created in an effort to project an image more consistent with the organization’s mission, goals and values. The logo design should reflect MAS’ community partnership and outreach efforts with animal owners, collaborative organizations and the general public.
The contest is open to legal residents of Memphis, Tennessee, who are 14 years of age or older. Winners of the contest will be able to adopt any animal that is available at MAS within 30 days after the announcement of the winner, a month’s supply of pet food and a $50.00 PETCO gift card, sponsored by Friends of Memphis Animal Services. Minors must have parental consent for the adoption of any animal.
To participate, the design must be submitted along with the entrants name, address, email address, home and or cell phone number.
