The Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County will host Vaccination Station, a low-cost pet vaccination event, on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the southwest corner of Linden Avenue and Lauderdale Street (across from Mt. Olive Cathedral).

Vaccination Station is sponsored by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and is a partnership with Dr. Amy Moffatt of MobileVet Memphis.

The $5 vaccinations are available to anyone and the event has no income or residency requirements. A rabies license, which proves compliance with county ordinance and state law requiring yearly licensing of a person’s dog, is not included but will be available onsite for $6 for spayed/neutered dogs and $16 for dogs that are not spayed or neutered.

Veterinarians will be present, along with vet staff and volunteers to administer the full complement of dog and cat vaccinations, including rabies.

Dogs must be on leash and cats must be in cat carriers.

Vaccination Station will not take place at the Humane Society facility, but at the southwest corner of Linden Avenue and Lauderdale Street.
