COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - D.J. Campbell returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown to go with eight tackles and a forced fumble as Fulton scored 39 unanswered points to beat Covington 39-14 in the Class 4A championship game Saturday.

The Falcons (13-2) trailed 14-0 in the first quarter, but tallied the final 39 points, including 32 in the second half.

It is the fourth state championship for the Falcons and the first since 2006.

Penny Smith, the offensive MVP for Fulton, threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns on 9-of-17 passing and ran for another score.

Dominique Williams also brought back a 42-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Daiqu'on Norfolk led the Chargers (14-1) with 113 rushing yards on five carries, while Johnston White and Tyrone Tipton both had rushing scores for Covington.
