JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (AP, abc24.com) - Police in Jacksonville have arrested the owner of a roller skating rink for allegedly attempting to commit sexual assault against a child at the business.
Police said Wednesday that 47-year-old Robert Allen Borders is charged with second-degree sexual assault. Investigators say witnesses saw Borders try to coax a 5-year-old girl into a bathroom at the Skate World Skating Rink.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Borders touched the girl's neck and backside and that the child refused to go with him and hid under a table.
Borders denied the charge in a written statement to police. He was released on $5,000 bond.
