TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Tupelo police say a 7-year-old boy has died, a day after he was pulled from Veterans Park Lake.
Police Captain Tim Tate identifies thee boy as Chance Nobles. Police say paramedics revived the child after he was pulled from the lake about 4 p.m. Friday, but he died Saturday at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that the boy was among several children playing in the lake about 10 feet from a "No Swimming" sign.
