CORINTH, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - A 36-year-old Corinth man has been charged with murder following a weekend shooting that left one man dead.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports Norman Tyrone Mitchell's bond was set at $500,000 on Monday.

Police Chief David Lancaster says 29-year-old Tavarus Holland of Corinth was shot once outside the American Legion shortly after midnight Friday. Holland was pronounced dead a short time later at Magnolia Regional Health Center.
