CORINTH, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - A 36-year-old Corinth man has been charged with murder following a weekend shooting that left one man dead.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports Norman Tyrone Mitchell's bond was set at $500,000 on Monday.
Police Chief David Lancaster says 29-year-old Tavarus Holland of Corinth was shot once outside the American Legion shortly after midnight Friday. Holland was pronounced dead a short time later at Magnolia Regional Health Center.
Mitchell was taken into custody Saturday.
Clay Nails has been appointed as an attorney for Mitchell.
