Farm Worker Dies after Falling into Grain Silo

LONOKE COUNTY, AR (abc24.com) - A farm worker in Lonoke County, Arkansas was killed after he fell into a grain silo while working to clear a blockage.

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office responded to a 9-1-1 call on Miller Rd around 11:00am on January 13, 2012. Deputies, the Lonoke Fire Department, an ambulance and med-flight all arrived on the scene.

Rescue workers pulled the victim, 56-year-old Jacques Parker of Carlisle, from the bin around 12:15pm. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The death was ruled as accidental.
