FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP, abc24.com) - Police say they've arrested a 34-year-old Fort Smith woman on suspicion of phoning in a bomb threat to her child's junior high school.

Police say someone called Darby Junior High School last Thursday morning and reported that a bomb was in the building. The school was evacuated and checked for any suspicious items.

Police say students were allowed back in the building after it was deemed safe.

Authorities say that about an hour before the bomb threat, a woman walked into a classroom and got into an argument with a faculty member regarding a situation involving her child. Authorities claim the woman then called in the bomb threat.

The woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of communicating a false alarm.
