HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - The city of Holly Springs has placed a moratorium on any adult entertainment business requests until a comprehensive zoning plan is adopted next year.
Mayor Andre DeBerry tells the South Reporter that he believes anything that was permitted in adult entertainment before the new zoning plan is adopted could set a precedent.
He said the city needs to plan for how it will handle permit requests for adult entertainment establishments.
DeBerry says how local officials feel about adult entertainment is one thing. He says how the city will address it is the board of aldermen's call.
DeBerry says the new zoning plan will be ready for final adoption early next year.
