OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Two Columbus men are scheduled for trial July 9 in federal court in Oxford on charges of possession with intent to sell illegal drugs and aiding and abetting.
The Commercial Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/Mn8kjH ) that Antonio Brooks, 25, and Steven Douglas Jennings, 41, have been indicted on two counts each of intent to sell and one count each of aiding and abetting.
Brooks and Jennings were arrested in January by the Columbus-Lowndes Metro Narcotics unit. According to court records, officers found about five ounces of crack and powder cocaine.
They have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
If convicted, Brooks and Jennings face up to 40 years in prison and/or a fine up to $5 million.
