JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old boy has been charged in the murder of a Milan man.
The juvenile, who is not being identified, is charged with first-degree murder and possession of Schedule II controlled substance, according to The Jackson Sun.
Police were sent to a Humboldt residence late Sunday night after a report of shots being fired. Officers discovered 22-year-old Lonzell M. Smith with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Those who knew Smith described him as kind and gentle.
