CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A Chattanooga man has been charged with beating four of his girlfriend's young children, including 2-year-old twins who were taken to a hospital with fractures and other serious injuries.
Thirty-four-year-old Jamie Lee Skiles has a hearing Friday on three counts of aggravated child abuse and another charge.
A jailer Wednesday said records do not show that Skiles has a lawyer.
A neighbor told the Chattanooga Times Free Press that she has made multiple calls to police about someone next door abusing children.
Their mother, Melissa Pinion, told police she left her six children with Skiles. Officers who responded Saturday found a 7-year-old and a 10-year-old with bruises. A 13-year-old said Skiles told her the twins wet the bed and the 7-year-old got in trouble at school.
