HELENA-WEST HELENA, Ark. (AP, abc24.com) - Four companies have announced plans to open or expand and create a total of 87 new jobs in Helena-West Helena.
Officials with Enviro Tech Chemical Services, Inc., Delta American Fuel LLC, Quapaw Products LLC and Southern Hardware Co., Inc. announced the plans Monday. They were joined by Gov. Mike Beebe, U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford and local officials for the announcement.
Enviro Tech produces an acid used in sanitizing meat, Delta American Fuel produces fuel from soybean oil, Quapaw Products manufactures specialty chemicals for industrial users and Southern Hardware is a wholesale distributor of hardware, plumbing, electrical and industrial supplies.
Enviro Tech will open a plant with 30 employees and Delta American plans to add 30 workers. Quapaw Products plans to add 18 jobs and Southern Hardware will add nine.
