STUTTGART, Ark. (AP, abc24.com) - Severe thunderstorms did minor damage at an eastern Arkansas airport and knocked out electricity to more than 1,000 customers, but no injuries have been reported.

Arkansas County Emergency Management Coordinator Shanda Harris said the hangar at the Stuttgart Municipal Airport was damaged and power poles were knocked down when a strong storm moved through area Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for the county, but Harris said officials don't know if the damage was the result of a twister.

The weather service reported an 86-mph wind gust at the Stuttgart airport.

Tornado warnings also were issued for Monroe and Prairie counties, but there were no immediate reports of damage.

Authorities also reported downed power lines and trees near Bismarck, Humnoke, Leola, Malvern and Pine Bluff.
