SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - Searcy police say two suspects have been arrested in the slaying of a janitor at a dialysis office.
Police say 24-year-old Zachary Mitchell found dead October 23 at Nephrology Associates. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that 19-year-old Devonte Nelson and 20-year-old Maurice Alexander Jr. are both being held in the White County Jail without bond.
Police say Nelson was arrested in Kansas where he was initially held on an unrelated burglary charge. After Searcy
investigators questioned him, he was charged in Mitchell's killing.
Alexander was arrested in Searcy.
Police say prosecutors are expected to file capital murder charges against both defendants. It wasn't clear whether they have
attorneys.
