NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP, abc24.com) - The Tennessee Highway Patrol says it will aggressively enforce seat belt and impaired driving laws Saturday during Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

Troopers say they will use sobriety checkpoints and drunken driving saturation patrols.

The THP offered these suggestions:

Arrange a safe way home before celebrating. Designate a sober driver and give that person your keys. If you are impaired, call a taxi, use public transportation or the local sober ride program or call someone sober.

Troopers also encouraged anyone who sees a drunken driver on the road to contact local law enforcement immediately.
