FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) - Williamson County Schools will be closed on Monday because of a manhunt for a maintenance employee accused of shooting at his wife and two children.

The sheriff's office says in a news release that 41-year-old Jeff Vaughn is accused of shooting at the three at their house in a rural part of the county on Saturday. Sheriff's office spokeswoman Sharon Puckett says the children weren't hurt, but the wife was treated and released for injuries.

Authorities believe Vaughn is armed.

School system officials say in a news release that schools will be closed as a precaution on Monday. The release says officials don't know of any threat to the schools or people but that they will be closed to help authorities.
