NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP, abc24.com) - A Nashville-area woman is fighting a lengthy legal battle to save her dog's life after the animal was ordered put down as vicious for attacking other dogs.

Nicole Andree (on-DRAY) has taken her case to three different courts so far. More hearings are in the cards now that a legal group from New York that specializes in fighting for dogs has agreed to take up the next appeal.

Andree's light brown pit bull mix named Prada is accused by Nashville authorities of attacking at least four other dogs. The 35-year-old real estate agent says she won't give up until Prada is safe from being put to death.

A social media campaign has raised money and prompted more than 11,000 people to sign a petition to keep the dog alive.
