MEMPHIS, TN -- Allen Iverson played his first game with the Grizzlies and he is already mad.

After missing the first three games of the season, while recovering from a partial right hamstring tear, Iverson played only as a reserve against the Sacramento Kings. Iverson scored eleven points in less than 18 minutes. But his problem wasn’t with the scoring, it was his playing time.

According to ESPN’s website, Iverson was quoted as saying, “Go look at my resume and that will show you that I’m not a sixth man.” He went on to tell ESPN that it was nothing to do with selfishness.

Iverson said, “I don’t want to change what gave me all the success I’ve had since I’ve been in this league,” according to ESPN.

The Grizzlies lost to the Kings, 127 – 116.

Memphis Grizzly Fans upset with Allen Iverson after his first game with Grizzlies. Do you really think this piece of deadwood will contribute to the grizzlies. Except to complain about everything. Ha what a joke.

I also feel that Iverson should have stayed in the game longer. I look forward to seeing him play at his best and that can only be accomplished with him in actual play with his team mates. He is worthy of more playing time and in a starter position. Let him rest after half of the quarter and return at the beginning of each quarter and the last few minutes as Kobe does with Los Angeles.

i don't blame Iverson because with him Mayo, Gay, Zach, and Marc on the floor we can do some great things and it showed last night.... The Grizzlies deserve to lose last night because at crunch time you put the ball in your play makers hands and 15 or 18 minutes playing time with 11 points shows you want type of leader and player he is...Also the Grizzlies had their opportunity to put them away and they didn't as a team... but keep up the good work and let's put it together.... however they will not sale tickets better if Iverson is not playing as much as needed with this time.... WATCH~~~~

Allen needs to be patient. If he keeps scoring 18 points in 11 minutes every time he goes in, he'll get the PT he wants. Memphis needs a leader not a complainer.
