NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Ensworth rallied from seven points down with 1:43 left in regulation to force overtime and went on to take an 87-77 victory over Briarcrest in the Division II Class AA boys state tournament Saturday at Lipscomb.

The game turned out to be battle between Mr. Basketball winner Austin Nichols of Briarcrest, a University of Memphis signee, and tournament MVP Corn Elder of Ensworth, who has committed to the University of Miami for football.

Nichols scored a game-high 42 points, including 28 in the first half, but Elder nearly matched him with 41 points, including an eight-foot bank shot in front of Nichols that tied the game at 75-all with 26 seconds left in regulation to cap the Ensworth comeback.

In the overtime, Ensworth grabbed its first lead since early in the second quarter, and never looked back.

In addition to Elder, Andrew Fleming had 17 points, and Ferby had 16 for the Tigers.
