The Commercial Appeal's Edge reports Allen Iverson is interested in suiting up for the Grizzlies this up-coming season. The 2001 NBA MVP and 9 time NBA All-Star has made it clear through his representatives that he would like to play in Memphis.

The Grizzlies have received word of Iverson’s interest and could be seriously considering adding A.I. One thing that is clear, Iverson will have to take a pay cut from the $21 million he received last season and possibly come off the bench regardless of what team he signs with.

On Iverson’s Twitter account he stated that he is healthy and is willing to contribute to a team to make it better. “My only preference will be to play for a coach that knows what I bring to the table and that I am going to bring it every night,” posted Iverson. “Someone that knows how to best utilize my skills to make our team the very best that we can be.”

Iverson was said to have problems coming off the bench last year for the Pistons. His season ended April 3rd with a back injury.

Blah Blah Blah! IVERSON IS NOT A TEAM PLAYER! He was a ball hog with the 76's, he had to share the ball with Denver and with the Pistons. The Pistons has been a TEAM not an individual organization. He got mad because he had to come off the bench eventually, between him and "Rip" Hamilton. Iverson faked the back injury because of that and he made the comment, "I will retire before I come off bench". Usually when a player is injured, the player still attends the home and away games in street clothers. Iverson did neither. Thirteen (13) years in the league - championship to show, only leading scoring titls because he hogs the ball.
