Memphis, TN -- Rhodes College women's basketball team's historic season came to an end Saturday night. Rhodes lost to Washington University of St. Louis in the second round of the NCAA Divsion 3 Women's Basketball Tournament.
The Lynx were playing in the second NCAA Tournament game in the program's history. They won during their first appearance the night before against Louisiana College to advance to the second round.
Rhodes had their chances late against WUSL but failed to take advantage, missing four attempts to take the lead in the final 1:06 of the game.
Guard Lauren Avant led Rhodes with 29 points. The Lynx finished the season 25-4.
