KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee is retiring the jerseys of former softball player Monica Abbott, men's basketball player Dale Ellis and women's basketball player Candace Parker.

Abbott will have her No. 7 jersey retired before Tennessee's March 23 game with Texas A&M, the university announced Thursday. Ellis and Parker will be honored during their former teams' 2013-14 seasons.

Abbott pitched for Tennessee from 2004-07 and holds NCAA Division I career records for wins (189), shutouts (112), strikeouts (2,440), starts (206), innings pitched (1,448) and appearances (253).

Ellis played at Tennessee from 1980-83 and ranks sixth in school history in career points (2,065).

Parker led Tennessee to national titles in 2007 and 2008. She was John Wooden player of the year in 2007 and 2008. She was the Naismith player of the year in 2008.
