The BIG EAST Conference has finalized the league’s home and away opponents for the 2013 season.

The University of Memphis will play host to Cincinnati, SMU, Temple and UCF in its inaugural season in the BIG EAST Conference. The Tigers will play road conference games at UConn, Houston, Louisville and USF.

With 10 teams in the conference next season, the one league opponent the Tigers will not play is Rutgers.

Playing dates for the 2013 BIG EAST schedule have yet to be determined.

While a majority of the Tigers’ conference opponents are former Conference USA rivals, Memphis will take on both UConn and Temple for the first time in program history.

Memphis’ nonconference slate will include home games against Arkansas State, Duke and UT Martin. The Tigers will also travel to Middle Tennessee during the 2013 season.
