Memphis Tigers A.D. Tom Bowen sent the below email message to all football season ticket holders as well as fans who purchased tickets to Saturday's game against UT Martin.
Dear Tiger Fan:
What a fantastic show of support the city demonstrated for our Tiger Football team Saturday night! The crowd was phenomenal and it's all because of your belief in the Tiger program.
Thank you for being a part of the start of a new era and your tremendous commitment to this team.
When the Tigers dashed onto the field Saturday night it was an electric moment and a wonderful way to start my tenure here at Memphis. While I wish the outcome had been different, there are great times ahead for this football program. As we get ready for our debut in the Big East Conference we will endure some setbacks but our future is bright and I promise you we will succeed; with such fierce and loyal fans we cannot fail.
Again, thanks for your support Saturday. Be sure to come out on September 15 when the Tigers take on the Blue Raiders of MTSU.
See you at the stadium on the 15th.
