MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Will Barton had 22 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and a career-tying six assists to lead No. 22 Memphis to a 91-60 victory over Austin Peay Saturday night.
Adonis Thomas added 17 points for Memphis (4-2), which as a team made 15 3-pointers. Joe Jackson added 11 points, and Tarik Black finished with 10.
Memphis committed 19 turnovers in the game compared to Austin Peay's 15, but the Tigers out-rebounded their opponent, 37-28.
Melvin Baker scored 15 points for Governors (0-9). Leading scorer Tyshwan Edmondson was held to three points on 1-of-6 shooting.
The Tigers led by at least 30 points for much of the second half even though their 3-point shooting tapered off. They fell one trey short of the school record for 3-pointers, which was 16 against Marquette in 2004.
