Richie is a very friendly and talkative young man with a handsome smile. He likes the outdoors and loves to sing. He enjoys playing video games, eating out, watching movies, playing sports and is crafty.
Richie is full of energy and his favorite subject in school is gym. He enjoys cooking and is not a picky eater. He loves listening to music, especially AC/DC, and he enjoys watching basketball.
His adoption worker says that Richie is very helpful and just loves to hang out and chat. "Richie craves one-on-one attention and really does well with pre-set structure," his counselor says.
Richie needs a patient family who remains positive with him at all times. His adoptive family will need to provide continuous structure and use a set of previously agreed-upon rewards and consequences to motivate, reward and re-direct Richie. His parents also need to advocate for him at school to ensure teachers are on board with using the same structure and rules that are in place in the home. Richie's adoptive parents should be active and support his participation in extracurricular activities.
