MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - It's the story that set Washington gossip on fire when Congressmen Steve Cohen was caught on camera tweeting a 24-year-old bikini model during the President's State of the Union speech. On Thursday night Cohen told abc24.com she is his daughter, who he only learned about three years ago.
She's the blond bombshell that forced Congressman Steve Cohen to reveal a bombshell of his own. "I have a beautiful daughter and I'm very happy," Cohen told abc24.com.
In an introductory video posted by Platinum Bay Swimsuit, 24-year-old Victoria Brink says, "I'm really into fashion and PR and event planning, so hopefully I will get in that and be successful and be happy at what I do."
During the President's State of the Union address, the Congressman was caught sending public tweets saying, "ilu" short for "I love you." His constituents were talking. When he cleared the air Thursday night, it just created more chatter. Bill Painter says, "I was kind of surprised, I'm surprised he came out."
Gladys Houston has voted for Cohen every time and says she will vote for him again. "That big 'to do' about his daughter, I really don't care about that."
Linda Hopper hasn't voted for Cohen and says this is a perfect example why, "I don't like liars; I don't like people that cover things up."
Linda Hopper is in the minority. Most of Cohen's constituents are talking about the revelation, but aren't bothered by it. Painter says, "I followed him for a while, I think we can trust him, we all have bones in our closet."
John Sohm lives in the Congressman's district, "As far as I'm concerned that's the Congressman's business and I'm sure he'll handle it that way."
Brink is the daughter of Cynthia Sinatra, a powerful defense attorney in Texas and the ex-wife of Frank Sinatra, Jr. She was unable to be reached for comment.
