MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Four children were found home alone at an unlicensed Raleigh daycare Tuesday morning.

Memphis Police were called to the home after Memphis Firefighters responded to an alarm there. When firemen arrived, they didn't find a fire but they did find four kids unsupervised. Investigators say they ranged in age from 4 to 13 years old.

Raymond Barber, who lives down the street from the daycare, told abc24.com says the woman who runs the daycare used to watch their kids but they stopped using her services after "she left the kids at school. She didn't pick the kids up so we had to go to the school to pick them up."

The Memphis Police Department has turned the investigation over to the Department of Children's Services. Police say they will wait until DCS finishes its investigation before determining if any charges will be filed.
