GERMANTOWN, TN (abc24.com) - A student at Germantown Middle School is in custody at Juvenile Court after bringing a gun to school Friday.
The incident occurred on March 23 when a student informed the principal that a classmate had a gun in his possession.
According to Principal Russell Joy in a letter sent home to parents, "There is no evidence that this child intended to cause harm of serious disruption at school."
Joy added that the student's behavior was unacceptable, and the child was issued a juvenile summons by Germantown police. The student also faces a 180-day suspension.
