"The reason for the controversy is it IS 'the media', not real news." - RealDeal. EXACTLY! Anything you read in the news is not necessarily factual. All three posters above have nothing but negative comments! NONE OF YOU EVEN KNOW J. WHITTEN! All that you know is what you read in the media. You don't know actual facts about this case. I have known him for years, and regardless of what his rapsheet says, I still trust him more than the next guy. He may have been CHARGED with certain crimes, but there is a HUGE difference in being charged and being convicted of a crime. Of course the media will post any juicy stories they come across. That's their job! That doesn't make it explicitly factual. Those of us who personally know Jimmy know the facts. Not everything you read or see in the news is true. Unless you were there that night, your opinion means nothing...

That boy, Whitten, has NO business being out in polite society, especially in DeSoto County.

..."for possession of methamphetamines, heroin, marijuana, morphine and Xanax. He was also charged with possession of a weapon by a felon for carrying brass knuckles" Yes, let's just 'rehabilitate' 'em & create "2nd. chance programs" till doomsday, seeing as how it is SO effective. Some things can't & won't be fixed (unless you use a noose, etc).
