MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis man is behind bars after robbing two victims at gunpoint and threatening a third, stealing a car, and running from police on Christmas Day.

Police say around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 25 in the Fox Meadows area, a suspect kicked in the front door of a woman's apartment and forced her into a bedroom at gunpoint. The suspect took her car keys and left as her neighbor was walking out of his apartment; the suspect pointed his gun at the neighbor and demanded his wallet. In the apartment's parking lot, the suspect pointed his gun at a man getting out of his car and forced him to the ground, threatening to shoot him.

The suspect took off in the female victim's car, and police pulled him over a short distance away in the Hickory Hill area. The suspect ran from the vehicle, but was apprehended after a brief foot chase and struggle with officers. Police also found a handgun and a bag of marijuana during a search of the stolen car.

28-year-old Laquiney Flowers is charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Kidnapping, Evading Arrest, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting Arrest. He is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $350,000 bond.

Yes. It implies stereotypes generally exist for a reason.

Notice how "real deal" had to tell us it was sarcasm. Otherwise we wouldn't have known! That says it all right there.

"Laquintey" sounds like either a species of flora, or an Inn, in the deep south. Other than that, SSDD. Commercial: "Come to vist memphis, take your chances!"

A man named LaQuintey Flowers does not sound like a man with crime on his mind.

Again I say, this creature has been fed, clothed and housed by the tax payers instead of a father to teach him values. He knows the value of nothing because everything has been given to him. If he wants it. He figures he deserves it. These prolific baby factories should start to be penalized after their second child. The fathers should spend time on city or county work projects to repay tax payers for supporting their bastards.
