MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two burglary suspects are in custody and two suspects remain at large, one of which carjacked a man in order to flee from police.
On Friday, January 4 around 11:30 a.m., officers in the east Memphis area were following a vehicle occupied by four possible burglary suspects. Two suspects bailed from the vehicle near Poplar Ave and Kirby, where one suspect carjacked a man in a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix in the Kroger parking lot. The carjacking victim was later released unharmed by the suspect near Poplar and Massey. The other suspect who bailed from the original vehicle also remains at large.
The other two suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. Further details on the case are still pending as police continue their investigation.
